Michigan season comes to an end
in loss to Auburn in Sweet 16
Friday night in Atlanta, GA. the Michigan men's basketball ran into its match as #1 seeded Auburn used a strong second half to put an end to UM post season run. Micihigan trailed by 1 point at the half and seemed to be hanging with the Tigers but a 25-6 run in the second half put an end to the Wolverines season 78-65!
A great post season run that saw the Wolverines win 3 in a row to take the BIG Tourney Title then 2 more victories in the first weekend of the NCAA Tourney they were pretty confident going into the game. Michigan did lead 27-23 in the first half and built up a 48-39 with just over 12 minutes to play in the game only to see Auburn run off 12 straight points and would never look back from there.
Rebounding and turnovers again plagued this team in defeat, but there are a lot of bright signs for this program moving forward under Dusty May and his staff.

Fight tainted game at Timberwolves leads to Pistons defeat 123-104
Sunday night is not made for fighting but the Pistons/Timberwolves games was tainted by a bench clearing brawl in the 2nd quarter! A foul on a layup triggered a altercation between Naz Reid from Minnesota and Ron Holland from Detroit led to a 5 player and 2 coach ejection in a very physical game up to that point. Officials needed to step in earlier in the contest to reign in the play but after that wasn't done actions were taken by the players instead.
The game continued after it all got cleared up and the Pistons couldn't overcome their losses to the skirmish. Detroit led by as many as 16 points during the game but couldn't hold on in the end.
The Pistons will now travel to Oklahoma City for a very tough game Wednesday night!

Not an easy task traveling to open the 2025 season out in Los Angeles against the reigning World Series champion Dodgers! The 3 game series saw the Tigers come up short on all of them. In game 2 of the series the Dodgers used a walk off HR from Mookie Betts in the 10th inning.
In game 3 Reese Olson took the loss as the Tigers couldn't come back to get a victory as the sweep was the end result. Detroit had 6 hits but struck out 13 times to hurt the comeback!
