A 73 on Friday, a 79 on Saturday, a 152 two-day total — and a medalist's trophy to go with it. Our own Addilyn Duflo, a sophomore at Bath who also plays basketball, was the only competitor in the entire tournament to break 80, and she did it the hard way: taking home the individual title at the Lower Peninsula Division 4 Final. This is a kid who finished runner-up as a freshman the previous fall, and she answered that back in a big way. Duflo built a nine-stroke lead during Friday's first round and never let go, dragging Bath along with her — the team cleared the field by 14 strokes. And here's the part that should give the whole program chills: this is Bath's first Finals team championship in golf, and it comes in only the sixth season the school has had a program. Sixth season. First banner. Led by a sophomore who outplayed everyone in the field.
