Country Day's Own Carrie Moore Building a Perennial Winner at Harvard!

Detroit Country Day roots run deep, and Lathrup Village's own Carrie Moore is proof of just how far a Michigan kid can climb! Moore was a four-year varsity performer at Country Day, dropping a team-high 18 points in that 2002 Semifinal win over Flint Powers Catholic and earning first-team all-state honors that same year! Then she took the show to Western Michigan, where she finished as the all-time scoring leader with a staggering 2,216 points and earned Mid-American Conference Player of the Year in 2007 after averaging 25.4 points per game! What a career! After stops at Princeton, Creighton, North Carolina, and yes, our University of Michigan squad that went 25-7 in 2021-22, Moore landed the top job at Harvard! She set a program record for wins by a first-year head coach with 20, guided the Crimson to their first Ivy League Tournament title, and dragged them to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 18 years! Now in her fourth season she owns an 80-41 record with the Crimson! We're proud of our own!
