The hold-in season is upon us, folks, and our Jahmyr Gibbs is right in the thick of it as he seeks a new contract with our Lions! As of the July 31 update, Gibbs has missed his third straight day of practice, and coach Dan Campbell said our guy was dealing with 'a little bit of a back' issue during those conditioning tests! But don't panic, Detroit — Campbell told us flat out, 'No, I don't think it's severe,' and on July 30 he said he's 'not even sweating it' regarding the whole situation! The best part is Gibbs is still in the building, attending all his meetings and keeping in touch with teammates like our own Amon-Ra St. Brown, who confirmed he's very much around! Gibbs completed that conditioning test Wednesday when the back first tweaked, and everything else is just business as the 2026 preseason kicks off with the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on Thursday! We love this kid and we want him paid!
