Hutchinson Poised to Take His Game to Another Level for Our Lions

Remember when we grabbed Aidan Hutchinson second overall in the 2022 NFL Draft? By his second NFL game he'd already dropped Carson Wentz three times in his first multi-sack outing — a night we downed Washington 36-27 at Ford Field on Sept. 18. That was just the beginning. Since that contest Hutchinson has piled on 40 more sacks, and his 43.0 career takedowns already rank sixth in franchise history. Last season he hauled in his first All-Pro nod, the first for a Detroit pass rusher since Ezekiel Ansah back in 2015, while ranking top five in the NFL in pressures (100), quarterback hits (35), sacks (14.5), hurries (64) and forced fumbles (4). Numbers like that speak for themselves. Dan Campbell has run the 'Hutchinson Rule' at practice for a couple seasons now — note the sack, keep the play alive so the offense still gets its work. After a broken leg cut short his 2024, his mind is locked on one thing: leading Detroit back to the top of the NFC North.
