Here is the quiet number that tells the whole story on our second-year right guard: 212 pass-block reps, zero sacks, zero quarterback hits allowed. Tate Ratledge, all 6-foot-6 of him, has surrendered just four hurries all season — and alongside Christian Mahogany, both of them graded Top 20 among every NFL guard, both Top 10 in pass blocking. The latest Pro Football Focus O-line ranking puts us at the top. Number one in football. It shows in the whole offense, too. Jared Goff has thrown zero interceptions, and our offense has given the ball away just once all year, the fewest in the league through Week 6. We are the only team in the NFL to score 25-plus in every game and the only one to crack 350 total yards every time out. It hasn't been all roses — the 45-21 win over Arizona on Oct. 11 was followed by that 32-26 loss to Carolina. But with Kerby Joseph still out with the knee, this line is the foundation we lean on, and Ratledge is the proof the future is already here.
