Our very own Pistons head coach, JB Bickerstaff, is going international! USA Basketball is expected to name him alongside Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault and Gonzaga’s Mark Few as assistants on Erik Spoelstra’s national team staff. It is a well-earned honor after Bickerstaff led Detroit to an Eastern Conference-best 60 wins this past season. This will be the first national team experience for both Bickerstaff and Daigneault, while Few has worked alongside Spoelstra since 2021. Team USA returns to action in late August for World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Colombia as preparations begin for the 2027 World Cup and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
