What a second half from the Pistons. Down 51-44 at the break and staring at a Hornets squad riding Brandon Miller's hot hand, Detroit got off the mat and flipped this one with the kind of third quarter that wins seasons — a 16-5 run out of the locker room, eight Charlotte turnovers forced, and a 97-89 final that never felt that close once we took the lead. Miller finished with 31 points and 12 rebounds and still couldn't carry it home, missing five of seven in the fourth as we squeezed the life out of Charlotte. And the story on the other bench says it all: Naz Reid, the 2024 Sixth Man of the Year and one of the prized returns in the LaMelo Ball trade, got benched at halftime for not meeting Charlotte's standards after just seven points in 13 minutes. That's what the defense did Wednesday. Detroit turned their best piece into a halftime sit-down and dared the rest to beat them.
