Great news out of Detroit, folks, as our own Sam LaPorta has been fully cleared for training camp earlier this month, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Tuesday! This is exactly the shot in the arm we needed, as LaPorta got off the canvas after that microdiscectomy last season to repair a fully herniated disk, and now the 25-year-old is ready to roll! Even banged up he stepped up in a big way, finishing last season with 40 receptions for 489 yards and three touchdowns in nine games! And let us never forget the rookie phenom we drafted in the second round back in 2023, the Pro Bowler and second-team All-Pro who set career highs with 86 catches, 889 yards and 10 touchdowns! Across three seasons our guy has piled up 186 grabs, 2,104 yards and 20 scores, and now he is healthy heading into a contract year with unrestricted free agency looming after this season! Veteran Lions are scheduled to report to camp next week, and we cannot wait to see LaPorta back in the mix!
