What a Sunday at Comerica Park, as the Tigers rolled the Colorado Rockies 8-1 to finish off a clean three-game sweep and push our winning streak to four straight in front of 22,726. The day belonged to Jackson Jobe, and it is worth savoring. The 24-year-old right-hander struck out a career-high eight over 6 1/3 innings, pitching into the seventh for the first time, getting 16 swings and misses and surrendering just Adael Amador's first-inning homer and two more hits. That is five starts of two runs or fewer in seven since he returned from Tommy John surgery in August — this kid is the real deal. The bats stepped up too, as Riley Greene reached 20 homers for the third straight season on a two-run drive in the first, Kevin McGonigle laced a 397-foot triple off the right-center wall that would have left 24 of 30 ballparks, and Spencer Torkelson added a solo shot in the fifth. Troy Melton (8-4, 2.42) takes the ball Monday night at Toronto.
