Wolverine fans, this is the kind of number we love to shout about, and it's got nothing to do with a scoreboard! Our University of Michigan student-athletes just landed 122 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar honorees for the 2025-26 academic year, earned by everyone who recorded a 3.7 GPA or higher! That's more than 100 honorees in five of the last six academic years, and at least 75 for 10 straight years — talk about staying power in the classroom! Twenty-six of our Wolverines posted a perfect 4.0, and eight of those came from women's track and field alone, a squad that led all U-M programs with 14 total honorees! It doesn't stop there, as Michigan racked up 477 Academic All-Big Ten honorees across the year — 149 in the fall, 96 in the winter and 232 in the spring! From Baseball to Wrestling, from Olivia Olson to Letitia Sim, our student-athletes are stepping up in a big way where it matters most!
