This one hurt, folks. The Wolverines had No. 6 Indiana on the ropes all afternoon at the Big House, and we let it slip away 13-6 in overtime Saturday — the Hoosiers' first win here since 1967. Tommy Carr, grandson of Lloyd Carr and Tom Curtis and brother of Notre Dame's CJ Carr, got the start while Bryce Underwood sat, and the margins were brutal: 20 of 32 for 167 yards, an interception, a lost fumble on an ill-advised pitch, and four sacks that turned drives into dust. Michigan reached the Indiana 1 and settled for a missed 32-yarder. The Wolverines reached the Hoosier 3 in the final minute and got sacked a fourth time, then kicked a 26-yarder as regulation expired. In overtime Josh Hoover hit Brock Schott for 21 and punched in a 4-yard score, and Carr's throw landed in the turf just shy of Salesi Moa. Five losses, four in the final minutes. At 4-3, 1-3 in the Big Ten, Michigan heads to Rutgers next Saturday. The season is right there to be salvaged.
