Here we go, folks — Game 8 takes us to SHI Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 31, kickoff 12:30 p.m. ET on BTN, as we meet Rutgers for the 11th time. We own this series 9-1, with a 4-1 mark in Piscataway, and the only blemish was the very first meeting back in 2014. Nine straight wins since. The group chat knows the score. The story this year is a defense that will not bend: third in the nation in total defense at 250.1 yards a game, top-25 in eight categories, and no opponent has put up more than 14 in a half. Troy Bowles leads the way with 55 tackles, and Chris Bracy earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after a 13-stop clinic against Indiana. On offense, JJ Buchanan paces Michigan with 539 receiving yards and four scores, Jordan Marshall keeps grinding, and young Tommy Carr makes his road debut after starting against Indiana. One thing the Wolverines are still chasing: their first league road win, in just it's second try.
